When a small child has big feelings, they don't need scolding or punishment, they need support and connection. Learning to manage emotions and reactions takes time, practice, and an excellent teacher. While we, as parents, try our best to teach our children these skills, sometimes we lack the capacity or we need additional support ourselves...because what kid wants to listen to mom or dad anyway, lol.
