Ruthanne Hawkins

Chairman

Ruthanne is an executive assistant, reiki practitioner, animal communicator, and horse lover extreme. As a former participant in the Equi Evolution program, she found significant peace from her work with the horses and has fully immersed herself into the world of equine-facilitated learning and animal advocacy and welfare.

“I never imagined the connections between horses and humans would be so intense and fulfilling. That connection is the drive that
has led me to where I am today.”

She is committed to helping improve access to equine-centered wellness programs and improving welfare efforts around the world. Her passion and love for this work and the horses is evident from the moment you meet her.

Kara McKenna

Secretary

Kara McKenna is a senior tax accountant that brings more than 15 years of financial experience to the Evolution Foundation, but this only speaks to the right side of Kara’s brain. Kara is an empath, an artist, a truth seeker and a highly sensitive person that believes in the power of unity and connection.

Kara is a dedicated follower of the teachings of spiritual leaders, such as Thich Nhat Hanh, in addition to pursuing her passion of healing the planet as a practitioner of yoga and the global mindfulness community. She is also a dedicated supporter of equine therapy, as a healing modality bridging the gap of peace and equanimity between humans and animals.
